Question:
Can you confirm that a Kuat Transfer V2 rack will fit on a 2006 Honda CRV? Does the rack clear the spare tire when folded up? Thank-you

In order to verify if the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # KU64FR will fit your 2006 Honda CRV with spare tire, you will need to take a measurement. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your hitch receiver, all the way to the rear-most part of your spare tire to determine how far a bike rack will need to be from your hitch receiver. I attached a photo to show this measurement.
The Kuat Transfer has a distance of about 8-5/16" from the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the Kuat Transfer, so if your measurement is less than this then it will work. If your measurement was more than 8-5/16" which is very likely, then you will need to use a hitch extender. If your trailer hitch receiver is 1-1/4" then use Curt Hitch Extender for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receivers - 7" Long # D189 and if your receiver is 2" then useTrailer Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long # e88YR. Just keep in mind that these extenders will reduce your overall hitch capacity by 50%; this bike rack only weighs 26lbs so just make sure you're not exceeding 50% of the hitch or vehicle's capacity.
I have attached demonstration videos for you to check out.
