Which Backup Camera System Is Compatible With Furrion Pre-wiring on 2021 Grand Design?

Question:

I have a 2021 Grand Design that is pre-wired for a Furrion backup camera. I also have the customer installed backup camera kit for my 2019 F350. Is there a way to make the two compatible? What i mean is can I connect the Ford cable to the Furrion wiring and mount the Ford camera on the pre-wired mounting point on my trailer? Or, is that pre-wired mounting point only for wireless cameras?

I wish that option would work, but unfortunately the Furrion Prewiring on your 2021 Grand Design will only work with a Furrion system like the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5" Screen # FOS05

To use the customer installed backup camera kit for your 2019 Ford F-350 on your trailer you would need to wire it yourself following the specifications outlined in the instructions for the kit. While this could definitely be possible, it is not something we have done or would have installation tips for.

If you wanted to use a Furrion system the # FOS05TASF mentioned would be a great option that would not require much wiring as you would only need to connect the two wires on the backup camera to your factory wiring and plug the monitor into a 12v power source in your truck.
