Question:
tonneau cover for 2004 Toyota Tacoma 5 ft bed + tail rail

If you would like a budget-friendly option then you could go with a soft roll-up tonneau cover for your 2004 Toyota Tacoma 5 foot bed. I recommend looking into the Access LiteRider Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # 834532001262. This bed cover sits 1-1/2" above the bed and features a nice weather seal that runs along the tailgate to help keep out dirt, rain, snow and ice. When not in use, you can simply roll up the bed cover and store it at the front of your truck bed; this will not affect your rear window visibility. This is the bed cover I recommend because it is very affordable and easy to use; I especially like the fact that it does not block your rear window whereas other bed covers do.
If you would like a fold-up hard tonneau cover then you could look into BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum # BAK26404. This low-profile cover is only 1/2" thick and features heavy duty weather seals and built-in drainage system to keep water out of the bed and protect your cargo. This is a quad-fold hard top design which will reduce your rear-window visibility when the cover is folded up.
Both of these bed covers offer a simple installation process requiring no drilling. I have attached a video for the BAKflip hard cover; there is not a demonstration video available at this time for the Access soft cover.
