How To Install a Trailer Brake Controller On a 2017 Audi Q7 with 7-Way

I have a Prodigy P3 brake controller had it from a previous vehicle that I am putting in a 2017 Audi Q7 with a 7 pin tow package factory harness installed. What wire accessories do i need to add for the installation of this? WHAT BRAKE CONTROLLER DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THIS VEHICLE? SOUNDS LIKE THE P3 ALSO NEEDS A RELAY??? I like the Redarc, what else needed if i order that from you and install on the 2017 audi q7?

It is possible to install a traditional wired brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 or Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR on a 2017 Audi Q7 with factory 7-way. That said, you have to get parts from the dealer and install a relay which can really just be a mess. I have attched a help artcile below if you want to go that route but a much better option would be to just go the wireless route using the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180 which just plugs right in.
