Question:
I have remodeled a 1946 spartan manor travel trailer. Not sure what the total dry weight will be, or the tongue weight yet. I dont expect it to be over 6k. Its a single axle. Was wondering what type of weight distribution hitch was the best for towing. Thank you for your help.

I would be happy to go over how to determine the correct weight distribution system for towing your 1946 Spartan Manon Travel Trailer, but you will need to confirm the total tongue weight of your trailer before deciding an a system.
To determine the correct weight distribution system you will need to know the total tongue weight of your trailer which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Using the etrailler Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 is a great way for you to get an accurate reading of your trailers tongue weight.
Now if we figured that your trailer weighed 5500lbs and it had the recommended tongue weight of 10-15% it would have between 550-825lbs tongue weight.
For weight distribution systems I really like the Fastway e2 line up as you get a high quality system and great features for a very reasonable price.
The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW - Without Shank # FA94-00-1033 works with total tongue weights ranging from 600-1000lbs meaning it has a good chance of working for your setup. This system does not come with a shank so you would need the # FA92-02-4213, and either a 2" hitch ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" hitch ball # EQ91-00-6120 depending on the coupler on your trailer.
If you find your system is a bit lower the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # FA92-00-0800 which works with total tongue weights from 400-800lbs would be a great option. This system includes a shank so you would only need a 2" hitch ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" hitch ball # EQ91-00-6120.
I included videos for the Fastway e2 Systems and etrailer Tongue Weight Scale and a link to a helpful article that goes over measuring total tongue weight for you to take a look at.
