Question:
Does this hitch have a mounting location for the 4-pin flat wire harness plug? I prefer not to run it out the hatch and have the toyota oem harness. Also, does this hitch go over or under the muffler/exhaust system on the passenger side?

The Curt Class III Hitch Receiver, part # 13534, does not include a mounting location for trailer connector brackets. (This hitch does install above the passenger side exhaust).
DrawTite part # 75726 is a hitch for your Highlander that does include a mounting location for the trailer connector braceket, and this hitch also mounts above your passenger side exhaust.
If you still prefer the Curt Hitch, part # 13534, we recommend mounting the 4-way bracket to the bottom of the bumper, or if you prefer not to drill into your bumper, you can choose a ring-clamp type extender that will allow you to attach your 4-way bracket to the Curt hitch receiver. Part # 18140 from TowReady clamps to the hitch and provides a no-drill mounting location for your 4-way bracket, part # 18144. Your OEM 4-way harness will then fit to this bracket. You will need part # 18144 for any of these three hitches.
The video links provided show the installation process for each of these 3 hitches.

Thanks for the follow up. Can you explain what the difference is between theDrawtite 75726 and the Drawtite 75586, and the difference between the Hidden Hitch 87615 and the Hidden Hitch 87452?It appears from your website that they are all appicable for my 2013 Highlander 17 spare yet vary in price, but have same ratings and installation process. Thanks
