Question:
I have a demco excaluber towbar on my motorhome. I have just bought a new 2021 jeep trailhawk and need a base plate for it. I like the blue ox style. What do you have that will fit the demco tow arms or do I have to get a adapter for it.

In order to tow your 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the Excali-bar Tow Bar # DM9511013-BX, use Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1128, this is confirmed to fit your vehicle. You will also need the Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets # BX88310, which will enable the Blue Ox base plates to fit your Excali-bar tow bar.
You will also need a supplemental braking system, wiring kit, and safety cables. For the braking system, I highly recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR. This is a popular option and a safe one, being that it will brake your towed vehicle in proportion to how you are braking the towing vehicle. For the wiring kit, go with the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247; this will splice into your Jeep's tail light wiring to accept your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights for flat towing.
A safety cable should have been included with your tow bar, however, use Demco Straight Safety Cables # DM9523055 as a replacement if necessary. You may also want a charge line so that the Jeep will not lose battery charge when getting towed. Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 will tap into the RV wiring kit mentioned above. I have attached demonstration videos for these products.
