Recommended Bed Mat to Protect Bed From Safety Chains for a 2022 Ram 3500 8 Bed

Question:

Hi We have a pullrite 2600 hitch would like to run safety chains but do not want to get our new truck scratched with running chains would these Demco Safety cables be alright to use running from our puck system to the Pullrite King Pin mount ? Our 2012 High Country Cougar 5th wheel has a GVWR rating of 9.900 lbs where these cables are rated at 14,000

I have a solution for you but the Demco Straight Safety Cables item # DM9523055 are only for flat towing. You can't use safety cables in place of safety chains for an in bed hitch. They're not rated for that, it will void any warranty, and it's against the law.

Instead you will want to use the DeeZee Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat item # DZ86916. This mat is custom fit for your Ram 3500's 8' bed. You'll need to cut out the holes for the puck system. We have had multiple customers do this with great success. I have attach a picture below of what this will look like.
