2018 ford escape hitch draw-tite code 75758 fits below the muffler. my question is will the muffler and tailpipes be able to be replaced without removing this hitch.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75758 does install with the hitch and it's brackets directly below the muffler on your 2018 Ford Escape, so the hitch would need to be removed in order to replace the muffler on this vehicle. We do have options for hitches that would not require the muffler to be removed, as they install with the brackets above the muffler; what you can use are either of the following:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98866
- Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75782
