Are fifth wheel hitch bed rails specific to manufacturer or are they standardized? I bought a truck that had a fifth wheel hitch, and I would like ot install one for a camper, holes and brackets are on the frame, rails notin the bed? Suggestions? Its a 2008 silverado 2500HD

The rails are all made to the same specs for the most part as far as how the hitches fit into them but as far as how they attach to the brackets under the truck bed they are different enough that they are not interchangeable.
The two most common kits for your 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD are the Reese part # RP50064-58 and the Curt # C16418-204 which you can check out and let me know if either brackets match what you have.
