Installing Brake Controller on 2008 Chevy Silverado with Tow Package

Question:
Hi, does this product or other proportional brake controller have an easy to hookup plug and play harness for my 2008 Chevy new body style 1500? I have the factory two package with 7 pin connector on the rear and currently tow my HaulMark single axle trailer without using the brakes. I need to add a controller so I can utilize the brakes.

Fortunately, GM eliminated the need for the Wiring Adapter with the 2007 model year new body style trucks. The brake controller would attach directly to the existing tow package wires located under the dash. The tow package harness is located to the left of the steering column, just above where your left leg would be when sitting behind the wheel. The tow package harness is a bundle of 4 or 5 wires, that is taped to a larger wiring harness. The tow package wiring will have a white tag hanging from it, which makes it a bit easier to identify.
To wire the controller to the tow package wiring, connect the wires as follows: the red and black tow package wire connects to the black wire on the brake controller, the light blue tow package wire with the white stripe connects to the red wire on the controller, the white tow package wire connects to the white brake controller wire, and the dark blue tow package wire connects to the blue wire on the controller.
We have and installation guide and a install video that you might find helpful, I will provide links below.
