Question:
Hello I have a 2013 Ford E350 van that I will need to do some towing with. I have a curt hitch installed but no wiring to power a trailer. I like the curt and redarc brake controllers that are hidden. Can you please tell me what I need and if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you

Since you don't have any existing wiring on your 2013 E-350 you'll need to start by adding a 4 way, which I recommend using the Hopkins Plug In Simple # HM11140495. This will provide you with the base wiring needed to then add a 7 way connector. Once you've installed this, you'll need to add the # ETBC7, which will provide you with the additional components needed to add the 7 way that will be required for a trailer with brakes.
Once you've installed the # ETBC7 you'll need a brake controller. You mentioned the Curt Spectrum # C51170 and the Red Arc Tow Pro # RED44FR, which would both be good choices, but I prefer the Red Arc Tow Pro Elite just a little bit more. Red Arc controllers are extremely reliable and high quality controllers that can be installed anywhere on your vehicle, and they provide completely customizable braking for your trailer both on and off-road. This brake controller will need to be hard-wired into your E-350 van since there is no brake controller adapter plug in available in the vehicle.
I've linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to check out.
