Question:
Tekonsha TK26BR installation on a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 with tow but non factory installed brake controller. How is this wired? Where do the controller wires connect to? Thanks

Hey Troy!
It can seem a bit confusing at first, but basically all aftermarket brake controllers wire up the same way under the dash (might have to remove kick panel as they call it)
-Blue wire runs to the back for the 7 way brake circuit
-Red wire connects to the hot side of the brake switch (only gets power when brakes are applied)
-White wire goes to ground (bare metal or negative on battery)
-Black wire connects to 12v positive terminal on battery
Your current controller should have these same color wires, but if for whatever reason it doesn't, you'll need to use a circuit tester / multimeter to verify which wires have the functions.
I attached an install video for Tekonsha Voyager iD Brake Controller # TK26BR which should help you out. Does this answer your question? If you need more help, feel free to let me know which controller you have or which issues you are having. :)
