I would be happy to help!
Which connector your trailer has will determine exactly what wiring your vehicle will need, with the most common two connectors being a 4-way or a 7-way.
Since there are no plug and play wiring harnesses available for your 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser both options will use the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit # 119178KIT. This kit will include everything needed to complete the installation of a 4-way connector on your vehicle. If your trailer uses a 4-way connector you will not need any other electrical wiring.
If the trailer you are planning on towing has a 7-way connector you will also need to add the Universal 7-way Installation Kit # ETBC7 which includes everything needed for the install. If your trailer has electric trailer brakes you will need to install a trailer brake controller like the top of the line Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
If you do not already have a trailer hitch receiver I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13443 since in our experience the finish on the Curt Hitches is the toughest which will keep the hitch looking great, and since it is made in the USA.
To complete your hitch setup you will also need a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip. I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes two ball mounts, two hitch balls, two hitch pins and clips, and a carrying case.
I included installation videos for the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
