Question:

Looking for a Hopkins direct wire in 7way and 4 flat harness that will plug into a 1999 LX470 wire harness. I see reviews of other vehicles but not this one. The vehicle does not have a factory trailer hitch yet. Will be putting on the curt class3 hitch. Thank you.

I do have an option for you but there are no direct plug-in 7-ways for a 1999 Lexus LX 470. However, I do have what you need to obtain one and for this you will need two parts, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55365 and the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185. That said, this will be your only option as they again do not offer a plug-in 7-way for this particular vehicle.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness is plug and play. The Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole will plug into the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness but you will need to run the white wire to a ground, the black wire to the battery assuming the trailer also has a battery that you need to charge, and the blue wire to the cab assuming the trailer has brakes. If the trailer does not have a battery or brakes then you don't need to run these wires. The yellow wire can be capped off as well. The Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole has both 7 and 4-way trailer connection points.

The correct Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver which is an excellent option is part # 13443.
