With an 8-1/2" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole, it lines up clean and steady for consistent towing no matter the load.
Towing gear sees plenty of weather and road spray, but this mount holds up thanks to its corrosion-resistant finishes. The forged steel shank wears a carbide black powder coat that seals out moisture, while the chrome-plated 2-5/16" hitch ball stands up to rust and pitting after long miles on the road.

The included hitch ball comes factory-torqued to spec in the drop position, so you can slide it into your 2" receiver and get to work. I ordered the wrong ball mount the day before Christmas. I waited until the day after Christmas to try to change my order. To my surprise my order was easily straitened out and three days later I got the correct ball mount. I would order more trailer accesseries from etrailer again.
This is by far the best hitch ball I have ever had. The cheapo ones I got at other places literally bent after only a little while with my mobile grooming trailer. This one hasn’t budged and I have been using them for a year!
The ball and hitch has work out very well. I use it on my 3/4 ton truck which I pull a dump trailer, I can haul 4 1/2 ton of rock. I have not experience any problems.

So far, so good. I have a 2016 F-150 that I use to pull my 2 horse, stock trailer. This hitch is very well made. I feel very safe using this to pull my mules.
The trailer that I purchased has a high hitch, so I needed heavy duty tich to pull the trailer, this hitch is more than adequate to do the the job. Very happy with the purchase.
Both the hitch bar and ball are of excellent quality, I have used Curt for other hitch items because I believe they are quality parts. In the description of the hitch bar it states NO RISE, however on the hitch bar capacities tag it states 1" rise. This may be something you want to change in the description because it could make a difference rather a customer buys or not.
This hitch is extra super heavy duty!!! The receiver shaft is literally SOLID steel and weighs so much more than any other ball mount I've owned, because they've all been hollow. I can believe it is rated to tow 17,000lbs with the 2-5/16" ball!!

They really mean heavy duty!!! Nice looking, well built, and heavy. Arrived without pin and clip and etrailer sent a substitute; the one that came with the ball mount was not available. The replacement pin is a PC3; I would be absolutely terrified to use this pin because the clip can easily fall off.
Excellent construction. very solid. use this to haul a flat bed car hauler trailer and ti works great. Much more solid then the fabricated type "holders" that i have had in the past. You can see why its rated at so much more capacity. While some folks like to try their luck with 5k holders i don't like to so much, this one is rated where I tow. the pin is excellent also and the little rubber coating on the pin and hair pin is welcome.

Very impressed with this receiver and hitch ball. Heavy duty, (forged) and the ball was already torqued on for me, which if you read the other reviews the [spec] torque setting is difficult to set. I am anxious to try it out.

Solid construction, I have used it to tow my 6500 lbs. boat.
I tried twice to get this hitch and ball from [online vendor]. Twice the shipment was lost and I had to get a refund. Shipment from etrailer is right the first time and arrived quickly. Plus, since the ball is already torqued on the ball mount, I don't need to by a large socket.

This ball mount is robust and give me great assurance to handle my towing needs. Also impressed with the very clean casting.

Fully satisfied with this purchase 1-year later. It’s beefy but also a good value
We’ve already installed it and hitched up the horse trailer. Works great for my needs. Half the weight of the much heavier weight distribution system we had been using (and will continue to use for Interstate travel). Hook up was fast and easy.

Disappointed! thought I was buying an American made product only to find out that it’s from China. Product looks of but still disappointed.
Excellent product. This trailer hitch is almost always in use towing a BeWise dual axle dump trailer and we have had no issues with it. Highly recommended.
This hitch doesn’t come with a safety pin. Needs to be purchased separately and the description doesn’t detail this.
