Question:
In the in useinch photos of the Redarc controller installed in Toyota 4Runner, do you folks know where the small rectangular panel with the trailer brakeinch lettering molded into it was sourced? Im interested in switching to this controller on my 02 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd - as I will want to recess the controller into one of the lower dash panels, a small adapter panel will need to be fabricated for the install, and Id like to incorporate that panel into the adapter. I assume a plug-and-play adapter is available to install the Redarc controller in an 02 GMC?

The Toyota 4 Runner had a knock-out plug already present and then we simply added the Universal Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-001 which measures 1-1/4 by 1 inch. There is also the option of using the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-002 for the more standard knock-out measuring 1-1/4 by 7/8 inch. These are made by Redarc which is based in Australia.
These options give a more finished look to the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. For your 2002 GMC Sierra 1500, I recommend the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail - GM # 3025-S which connects to the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED69FR creating a harness for your truck for that plug and play you are seeking.
