I have a 2026 Nissan Frontier SV and am going to purchase the RED53CR brake controller. What mounting panel will fit my truck for a clean install?

Hey Jonathan, congrats on the new truck! The Universal Mounting Panel item # 331-TPSI-001 is what you'll need to install the control knob of the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED53CR in your 2026 Nissan Frontier SV. It measures 1-8/16" tall x 1-1/8" wide.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED53CR comes with a custom fit wiring harness that will plug directly into your Frontier's factory harness. It is located underneath and to the left of the steering column.

What kind of trailer are you pulling?

I think the universal one will work. I simply used the plug that I took out of the dash and drilled a hole in it and mounted mine. I drilled a 1/8 inch hole above where my main hole was gonna be for the little indicator light.

Jonathan this will work fine. I watched a YouTube video on how to install. I placed screws instead of zip ties to mount the unit and then zip tied the wiring out of the way you can use an existing blank in the truck watch a video on how to remove it measure twice drill once that’s how I did mine

My son recommended the controller, since he bought and installed one on his vehicle (Nissan Pathfinder). He has had no problem. Following his recommendation, I bought the same product, which he installed for me last year. I've had no problems with it. As a matter of fact, I'll be taking my RV out this weekend for the first trip in 2026.

I have a 2023 pro 4X and I mounted mine to the left of the steering wheel. There was a blank switch plate there and I drilled it out to accept the control. I did not use a mounting plate and it has worked well for me.

Johnathan, I found one of the empty spots on the dash and I removed the mounting plate and drilled a hole in it. The universal mounting plate is not the same size as the mounting plates in the dash. I have a 2025 Pro 4x Frontier
