I'm assuming you're speaking of the # 37185 4-pole to 7-way adapter. You won't need to attach that blue wire from the adapter to anything, just bundle it up out of the way. The Black wire needs to run to the vehicle battery, using some # 10-1-1 wire through a 40A circuit breaker like # 9510 and the white wire needs to be grounded to the vehicle frame or chassis and the 4-pole connector on the adapter needs to be plugged into the 4-pole adapter on the vehicle to access the taillight circuits.

My Rav4 is wired with a 6-way connector and my trailer is wired with a 7-way. I have an adapter, but am wondering if I need anything else to install this wireless brake controller?
