There are a couple of great options for retractable hard tonneau covers that fit your 1997 Chevy C/K Stepside with a 6-1/2 foot bed, both of which are from Pace Edwards.

There is just one difference between these tonneaus; the Full-Metal JackRabbit has all aluminum panels with a black powder coat finish, while the standard JackRabbit has black vinyl fabric bonded to its aluminum panels.

Apart from that both are the same outstanding tonneau cover that will provide full protection to your Chevy's bed. They each lock anywhere along the rails, are easy to use with a pull strap, and are low-profile to provide the best airflow to reduce drag and enhance your gas mileage.
