Question:
I own a 2008 Ford F350 SD 4x4 6.4l diesel. I pull a 5th wheel that has a max weight of 12000 lbs. with a dry hitch weight of around 2000#. I also want to put a truck camper in the bed occasionally, with a weight of 3000-3500#. My question is which Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System to use? TFRTT350F or TFR350SDF One is rated at 8600 lbs. the other 8000 lbs. Which one would you recommend? Also if empty how bad of a ride would it have? Thank You

That's a good question, and between the two systems, the best one for your 2008 Ford F-350 for support while you are towing your 5th wheel as well as when you using a truck camper is the 8,600 lb option:
- Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR350SDF
The 8,6000 lb capacity of the # TFR350SDF is more than enough for both the pin weight of your 5th wheel as well as your truck camper. More than that though, the reason they are the best is because they are double-convoluted, while the 8,000 lb # TFRTT350F are single convoluted.
That is important because the double-convoluted Timbrens will compress more freely, resulting in a much more pleasant ride than the single-convoluted which are far stiffer. Unless your truck bed camper was on your F-350 at all times, your ride could be very unpleasant and jarring every time your suspension moved enough for the Timbrens to make contact with the frame. A single convoluted spring has no give at all, while the double-convoluted compresses more easily the more weight is on it.
