Question:

The follow leg will only turn a couple of spins and then will not go any more. I know it is the follow leg as I unhooked the shaft from one leg to the other and the lead leg works fine. Now, if there is no weight on the leg, it will go up and down ok, but once there is weight, it stops working. Does this sound like I just need to purchase the repair kit or a whole new leg. Thoughts?

Take the top off of the jack leg and inspect the bevel gears that you can see. If they look damaged all you'd need is the repair kit part # LC146060. If other components look damaged it would be best to replace the entire leg with part # LG-177201.
