Largest Available Diameter 12 Inch Tire

Updated 07/25/2020 | Published 07/23/2020

Question:

I read one of the answers here that said the ST145/R12 is about 1/2inch smaller in diameter than the 5.30-12 is. Is there a tire that can be interchanged with the 5.30-12, and is slightly larger in diameter? Also, I would need it in a load range D or greater. Thanks

The 5.30-12 is the largest trailer tire we offer that fits on the 12 x 4 rim. The 145/R12 or 145/80-12 tire is right at .6 of an inch smaller in diameter and the 4.80-12 is smaller yet at roughly 20.7 inches in diameter. We offer a 5.30-12 tire in a load range D with a 1250 lb per tire/2500 lb per axle capacity.

To go larger, you'd need to move up to a 13 inch wheel, like a ST175/80-13 load range C radial tire with a 1360 lb per tire/2720 lb per axle capacity. The part number is # TTWTRTM1758013C.
