Expert Reply:
The correct EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2016 BMW X5 is part # 306-X7265 for models without backup sensors or part # EH44FR for models with backup sensors. In regards to installation, we recommend local RV dealers who have a service center as they will be the most experienced with trailer hitch installations. That said, we are not able to offer specific locations as the manufacturer does not provide us any.

It's my understanding if you remove the rear bumper on the X5's with back up sensors you'll have to perform a pre and post calibration of the sensors. This takes special software from BMW or a third party software.

For part EH44FR, will my sensors constantly go off when installed? Planning on having a bike rack on the hitch. Do I need extra wiring? And will the wiring automatically disable the sensors? Thanks for your input.
