Great product. Installed on 2015 X5 M-Sport with backup sensors. No cutting or drilling needed as stated on page.
1) Instructions should state to remove receiver before reinstalling bumper fascia- otherwise very difficult to align and the receiver scratches the bottom of the fascia as it's rotated to align to the center clips.
2) The 'down' shaft to the receiver is too short... I had to really compress up against my trim (2017 X5) to bolt the receiver on after facia was reinstalled- hate to think about removing it and reinstalling ever again... but that's its purpose. Were it 1/8 in longer would have made a worlds difference. See attached photo- zero clearance to fascia.
3) The bolt to remove/ reinstall receiver is (a) course threads without an alignment pin (hard to start, subject to thread damage each time) and (b) in very awkward location... like max awkward ...why not make it a bit lower? See attached of photo, bolt location.
4) The tow chain attachment pints are behind and 3 inches above the bottom of the fascia- 100% will damage fascia if were you to use them and there be any tension on the chain (tight turn etc..) - crazy bad design. See attached photo showing chain hooks 3 inch above and behind fascia.
Overall I'm 100% disappointed. This hitch was not thought through very well- a few changes would have made it ok, but it's not.
Spend a little more, get the next version up that in hindsight appears to be designed for its purpose- this one is almost amateurish in design, yes it's that bad. I'd remove it and toss to the garbage heap where it belongs, but that would mean removing the fascia again.
item arrived in terrible condition including packaging and they only refunded me $25. I will never do business here again.

Nothing on the hitch shows except for the 2" receiver hole which is so much better than a lot of ugly installations out there. Highly recommended!
I love this hitch. It’s on my BMW X5 2018. Took the plastic facia off, mounted it and put the facia back on pretty easy. I have my boat and WaveRunner with it.
I needed to have the trailer hitch within 2 weeks time and I had it delivered to my home in less than one week with no cost for shipping. I was very pleased.
I have an BMW X5 and was looking for invisible. This bolted right in and fits clean. When in use, the receiver is all that is visible. The support structure is hidden behind the bumper fascia. When not using my bike rack I can place my receiver cover on or I can remove the receiver and the hitch is not even visible. Definitely stealth. Only complaint would be the tow rating is not the same as the vehicle so I give up 1000 lbs. Need to fix that.
This hitch was installed on a 2020 BMW X5 SUV. I spent about a day to install, but it went well. The videos were very helpful. I then towed a BMW GTL 1600 motorcycle on a trailer about 4000 miles and everything went very smoothly. Very happy with the hitch.
I followed the instructions and watched the videos. I was very easy and it took about 2 - 3 hours to install.It took so long because it was a special hitch that did not require any of the rear fascia to be cut away. It looks super professional and all the parts I needed including all the plastic pop rivets were included. The tech on the phone was helpful when purchasing it. The price was great. I got a quote from BMW for the same hidden hitch and wiring kit of just over $2400. It cost me around $400. Very pleased.

Great hitch! Well designed and quality construction.
The main reason for my review though is to let other people know that the description is incorrect. This hitch works perfectly on the X5M, despite the description stating otherwise. I talking about a true “M” model here, not an X5 with an M performance add on package. See my photos for details, exhaust is completely different on an X5M.
The only reason I am not giving this hitch 5 stars is that for some reason the manufacturer decided to rate/design this hitch for only 5000lbs max. The towing capacity of an X5M is 6000 lbs, so that is what this hitch should have been designed for in my opinion.

Actually 2 years later and the description for this product is still wrong stating excluding M models. That is simply not true! This hitch works great on M models. See my photos. As for how the hitch is holding up? I am a bit disappointed at the amount of rust after only 2 years? Seems like the powder coating should have been better quality than this. Functionally, the hitch is still great.
Great hidden look. Without the receiver installed, nobody would know there's a hitch there. The welded-on nut for installing the receiver is a nice feature making installation a breeze.

Oh yeah, I forgot its there. Out-of-sight when not in use and works great when its needed. Just dont misplace the receiver after its been removed!

After a year of using the trailer hitch, it has been perfect. Easy to install easy to pull the tongue out. It’s very durable. Can’t say enough good things about it. If you want a good trailer hitch, this is the one.
