Question:
How can I tell if it’s the switch or the fan motor it’s self is bad Replacement Wall Switch for LaSalle Bristol Reversible 12V RV Ceiling Fans - White Item # 344410TSSW12V how can I test what one is bad

You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2997 to test the wires that run to the switch part # 344410TSSW12V for voltage for when the switch is on and off. If the switch allows power to pass when it's on then you know it's not the switch. Next test the wiring that leads to the fan. If you find voltage making it to the fan motor then the issue is that the motor is bad. If there is no power to the fan that would indicate normally that the switch is bad or possibly a wiring issue. Also make sure the ground of the fan motor is good too.
