Will the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Work On a 2016 Volvo XC90

Hi etrailer, I need a brake controller for my 2016 Volvo XC90 T8 hybrid. it has the factory installed tow package. Will the RF products Curt and Tekonsha work with my vehicle? Is it complicated to sync? will the vehicles trailer light check diagnostic complicate the sync? will trailers with LED lighting cause issues? thanks for your help. Just looking at pricing it seems the Curt is less expensive but ive seen a lot of people online talk about the Tekonsha brand.

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is what I recommend for a 2016 Volvo XC90. In regards to sync/setup, this is super easy and only needs to be done once per trailer. Once synced, it simply plugs in and you are ready to go. There should not be any issues with the factory trailer lighting diagnostic checks. In regards to LED, this won't be a problem at all. The Curt Echo simply acts as a pass through for the trailer lights so there would be no issues associated with these.
In regards to the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # TK94FR, this is a good option as well but there are more components to the system and the setup is a bit more in-depth.

Hi. I have a 4 pin trailer connector on my 2018 XC90 Volvo. I am planning to buy a 4 to 7 pin adapter. Would Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller work with the 4 to 7 pin adaptor?
