Question:

I am interested in a trailer hitch to carry two bicycles. I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox. What trailer hitches do you offer and do I need a electrical wIre harness? Thank you

I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR for carrying 2 bikes with your 2020 Chevy Equinox. I like the Curt hitches because we have found that they have better welds and a thicker powder coat which promotes a longer lasting hitch receiver. We have actually been able to install this on a 2020 Equinox so I have attached that installation video as well as a photo of the finished project for you to check out.

Since bike racks don't use lights you won't need to install wiring.

If you don't already have a bike rack then I recommend going with the Curt Platform Rack # C18085. This is a great, quality bike rack and will allow you to tilt and fold the rack up for rear hatch access and non-hauling situations accordingly.

Does the hitch ride too low where it and a platform bike rack bottom out?

@Mike When we installed this on a 2020 Equinox we found that from the ground to the top inside of the receiver measured 9-1/2". This is a little low for a receiver, but you might be able to get a bike rack with a bit of a rise in the shank to help with ground clearance. As long as you don't have any steep driveways or anything like that you should be fine.
