Question:

I have a 2006 Mercury Marquis and Uhaul is putting a trailer hitch on it. I’m looking for the wiring kit needed to connect it to a uhaul trailer so the brake lights work. Can you suggest the proper products. Thanks

The wiring kit I recommend for your 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis is the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.

If you haven't already decided on a trailer hitch then I recommend going with a 2" receiver like the Curt # 13707 because it opens up the door to a variety of towing accessories and won't be as restrictive as a 1-1/4" receiver.

You'll also need a ball mount to complete your towing setup. I have attached out selection of ball mounts for you to filter through as well as a link to a helpful article to help you make sure you choose the best one for your towing setup.
