Hello, we are looking to get our first travel trailer and looking for a good WDH with sway control. We have a 2013 F150 super crew cab with the short box, it has a trailer brake from the factory. The travel trailer we are looking at is 7,000 lbs We do have high winds were we live in Oklahoma and would like to find a good WDH with the sway control to make a safe tow. Thank you for any help or advice you can provide.

We can get you set up with the best weight distribution hitch with sway control for a travel trailer with a GVWR of 7,000 lbs, and with that in mind the properly-rated, best weight distribution hitch is the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System with 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET.
The Equal-i-zer systems are the best when it comes to controlling sway because of its 4 points of sway control via friction in the spring bars as well as the head unit. This is double the amount of some systems and is why the Equal-i-zer is considered by many to be the top option.
Other factors that are important are that it also uses clamp-on brackets so you won't have to drill along your trailer frame allows you to back up with the system on (not all do). Our customers who have used this system regard it very highly, with some 500 reviews (thus far) it has averaged nearly 5 out of 5 stars, as you can see on the product page.
The system comes with everything you need, including a shank and 2-5/16" hitch ball, but to help install the ball we recommend you use thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800.
I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System with 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET.
