Question:

Hello, I am really interested in wiring a chase light for a third brake light on my 2015 Jeep. I am wondering if I can convert one of your trailer hitch harnesses by using the existing plug and play to the tail light socket, but then cutting the tow hitch connector and splicing at that point. The chase light is calling for: running light .3a, brake light 1.3a, reverse light .7a, courtesy light .3a and ground. Thanks from this novice who is totally trying to impress her dad with this surprise! Best

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118416 is a fit for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. If you would like to use this to wire in a some type of third brake light then you can do so just note that the stop and turn signals are combined on the same wire so you'd need to separate them with part # PP20-702 or else the light would flash with the turn signals.

In regards to the reverse light circuit, this is not present on most trailer wiring harnesses so you'd just need to splice into the vehicle's tail light for this.
