Question:
I got a 2008 toyota sienna and got a C13105 hitch kit. it says 12mm bolts on the parts bag. i tried several times in cleaning out the frame mounted nuts but the bolts still will not go in. I need a tap. i heard i need a M 12 1.25 tap to clean out the rust. Is that the correct size and if so do you have them and what is the price.

The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch part # C13105 for the 2008 Toyota Sienna utilizes M12 bolts. It sounds like you have already tried to use a brush like part # 814092 and Blaster Lubricant or WD-40. You can tap out the weldnuts with a M12x1.25mm tap that can be sourced at a hardware store. We do recommend that tapping the weld nuts be the last resort. Maybe try soaking the holes with the blaster then go at it with the brush. This may take several tries. If you have no choice but to use a tap then just be sure the tap goes in straight or the threads could be ruined. I have attached a very helpful article for your reference.
