Question:
Im looking to attach a UHaul 5x8 cargo trailer to a 2004 Honda Civic. Im new to towing, but it looks like I would need a ball hitch. Can I attach a ball hitch to this? Thanks :

Yes you will need a ball mount and ball to go with your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11204 to attach it to a trailer.
The Brophy Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches part # BM96 will give you 5 1/2" of rise which you will need and you will attach either part # 19258 for a 2" ball or part # 19256 for a 1 7/8". For a pin and clip use part # PC2.
You will also need wiring for the trailer's lights. the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56341 will give you what you need to get the lights working and stay legal. This will plug in to already existing plugs behind your taillights so there will be no need to modify, cut or splice your factory wiring.
