Question:
Wondering what sealant to use for the new holes drilled into the trunk pan on a 2002 Honda Civic Si. I have automotive seam sealant, which may be suitable, although it takes a while to outgas. But its meant for this sort of application, I think.

That's a good question, because you do need to make sure you have a nice seal with the holes in the trunk of your 2002 Honda Civic Si when you are installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11204.
What I recommend is the Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker # LT37467.
The Loctite sealant is designed specifically to perform the needed function, which is keep out fumes and moisture, and is definitely the route I would go when installing this hitch.
Finally, I did want to mention if you do plan on doing some light towing with your '02 Civic, you will need a couple more parts: Curt Circuit Protected Converter w/ SMT # C56175, Drawbar # 3593, and - 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258.
