Question:

I have a 2015 F150. Can I plug this light into the 4-way connector while I also have the 7-pin connected to the trailer? I want to run this to the rear of the trailer and install it in the 2inch bumper receiver so that I have an additional brake light while im towing. So Id have the 7-pin connector running the trailer lights, ,and then the 4-pin connector running this additional light. Will this work?

It's going to depend on which trailer connector assembly your truck is using. If it's something like # HM40975, what you're proposing won't work because both of the protective covers over each trailer connector cannot be opened far enough at the same time due to the hinge design. However, we have a good solution. You can use the # HM48470 instead of the factory connector. This will allow a lighted hitch cover like the # CR-007 you'd looked at to work perfectly.

The factory plug will disconnect at the rear by disengaging the gray clip and pulling the wiring harness away from the back of the trailer connector. The # HM48470 could then be installed in its place. I've linked you to a product description video for the connector I mentioned.
