Does Roadmaster Quiet Hitch Have Weight Capacity for Weight Distribution System

Question:

Sir, Thank-you for the previous information and help. I have a follow up after purchase. With the email answer and your forum, I purchased the RM-061 and installed it with no issue. This was very easy to install. I torqued it to the specifications and it tightened up the hitch as advertised. I have not used it yet and wanted to make sure one last time if this is an acceptable application as my photo shows. My WDH is an Anderson WDH that had some small amount of up and down play but after installation both that and the little side to side no longer is there. However it did pull the hitch up slightly and I have about 800- to 900 pounds of weight on the hitch itself with the trailer at 7800 LBS. As per the email I received and this forum under the Anti Rattle Device That Can Be Used with Weight Distribution and your video in that forum I installed it that way since clearance the other way on my truck I would have clearance issues with the socket and the nuts on top since the space was limited which would require a crows foot that I don’t have but could get one to fit the nuts to torque if that is necessary. Does pulling force of the RM-061 up on the hitch slightly create an issue as shown in my photo?

Thanks for the photos and yes, you can use the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 with your set up. The Quiet Hitch doesn't actually have any weight requirement or weight capacity because it doesn't bear any of the load, it simply helps to stabilize mount that is in your Ford's hitch receiver.

You are good to go with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 exactly the way you have it installed. It won't cause any issue whatsoever; the nuts being on top are perfectly fine and the slight pull up (which is just tightening) of the hitch won't be a problem either, so you're all set!
