Question:

What does it mean 500 lb capacityinch on SSF-106-40 or 1000 lb capacityinch on SSF-106-47? Capacity of what? I have a 2018 Coachmen Freelander. Thank you!!!

This is a great question and one that can cause some confusion. SumoSprings capacity is determined by how much weight it takes to compress the spring down to 50% of its original body height, so a spring like the # SSF-106-40 will compress down to half of it's unweighted height with 500-lbs of pressure. The # SSF-106-47 is going to be a stronger spring with it's 1000-lbs capacity. Keep in mind, these aren't designed to upgrade the GVWR, but they're designed to help cushion the load that you're carrying.

If your 2018 Coachmen Freelander suspension is typically under a bit heavier load (more cargo, water tanks, etc.), the SumoSprings # SSF-106-47 are going to be the better choice to help your fight off body roll and porpoising that may be problematic.

I love SumoSprings because they are a great, pocketbook friendly solution to help your coach handle much better and help reduce the strain on your stock suspension system.
