When you pull into the campground, you're tired from the drive. You kick off your shoes, pour yourself something to drink, and flop down on the sofa with a sigh. The center console flips down to give you cupholders so you can keep your drinks close and off the floor. It gives you a space to unwind, entertain guests, and stay up too late talking. When it's time to call it a night, you flip the cupholder up, lift the seat, pull it forward, and press the sofa flat. The backrest folds down smooth so you can throw a sheet and blanket on top for whoever's staying over. In the morning, you fold it back into a sofa while coffee's brewing, store your bedding underneath, and by the time everyone's awake, it's back to being a hangout spot.
This sofa ships in manageable sections that fit through narrow RV doors, so you can bring it inside without scuffs or struggle. Once in place, complete the minimal assembly, add the matching kickboard, and you're ready to sit back. If you need a base for installation, you can add a set of legs (sold separately): 195-000017. They'll lift the sofa to a comfortable height and give you space underneath to store your gear.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at the Thomas Payne RV jackknife sofa with kickboard. This is gonna be a full fold-down optional bed for ya, and it measures 68 inches wide from the metal frame, all the way over to the other side, to that metal frame. Whereas the actual cushion part is 65 inches wide on the front. Now, this is what Thomas Payne is calling their satula.
I'm calling this like a medium brown. From the top down, you can kinda see it a little better. And in the center here, you got a nice, little fold-down armrest slash cup holder. And you got one, two cup holders here. So, again, this is a nice leather-like fabric.
It's an upholstery. And anything you spill, water, drinks, whatever, will just bead on top of this and you should be able to easily wipe it up. There's a better look at that, with the armrest down. Now, if you're replacing a current jackknife sofa, then you pretty much already know that there's some hidden storage underneath these, by simply lifting up the base and accessing underneath there. And then that would fold out just like that.
Now, when you have this folded out, again, you still have that 65 inches long. From the front to the back, you got 42 inches deep. Now, I mentioned that frame structure. If you don't have a frame or something of that nature, we do sell a universal leg kit for the Thomas Payne jackknife sofas. And you can purchase that separately here at etrailer if you so choose or so need.
And then, as far as folding these back up, pretty simple. Just go backwards from the way you laid it down. Now, as far as some other dimensions, from the bottom of the kickplate, all the way to the top here, I got 34 inches tall. As far as the depth, from the front, back here to where your back would start, I got 20 inches deep. Now, this has been designed and should fit roughly through a 26-inch-wide entry door. So if it's 26 inches or wider, you should have no problem getting this in. Again, the kickplate simply pops right off. Or you can put three screws or bolts through the holes on the hooks that hold that kickplate onto that bottom bar. Again, folks, this is a great option for you if you're looking for either a replacement. Or you just wanna start fresh and you don't have a couch at all or something like that, but you need something with a little extra sleeping area, maybe for the grandkids, the kids, whoever, kids' friends.
