Big loads can make your setup feel loose on the road. This adjustable anti-sway bar evens things out by tying the rear axle to the frame with a solid 1-5/16" chromoly steel bar. Three stiffness settings let you dial in how firm you want it, giving you tighter control and a more confident feel when hauling or towing. The added stability cuts out the side-to-side sway that comes with shifting cargo or heavy tongue weights, so everything stays level and predictable.
Getting pushed around by wind or passing trucks wears you out fast. This rear bar keeps your rig steady by minimizing body roll and sway, so you’re not constantly correcting the wheel. It keeps the rear end planted through gusts, uneven pavement, or quick maneuvers, making highway runs smoother and less stressful. With the suspension balanced out, steering response feels sharper and the ride stays controlled even in tough conditions.
This setup isn’t just strong—it’s built for long-term reliability. The bar itself is thick 4140 chromoly steel finished in a corrosion-resistant silver vein hammer tone powder coat, with black powder-coated brackets and end links. Polyurethane bushings resist oil, gasoline, and ozone so they won’t break down or squish out like rubber. Less wear means less flex in the system and more consistent performance over time.
No drilling or fabrication needed here. The kit comes with zinc-plated mounting hardware, detailed instructions, and bushing lubricant for an easy bolt-on install using basic tools. Whether you’re replacing a factory bar or adding one for extra support, it’s designed to go on cleanly and fit right without getting in the way of other gear. Once installed, you can feel the difference from the first turn of the wheel.

Very well built, easy to install and fast shipping
Thanks to Stacey A. I was able to get parts shipped asap. Etrailer has an awesome staff.
One of the bolts had messed up threads and stripped out the mounting location on my axle. Pretty disappointed since it’s so expensive.
Arrived on time and is a perfect fit. Ford made it a little more difficult to install the connector on the drivers side with the proximity between the frame and DEF tank. Took about little over an hour to install and torque.
just what I needed
I bought this sway bar because Ford, in their infinite wisdom, did not put sway bars on any 2025 Super Duty with 20” wheels. Yeah, I don’t understand either. But, it needs one, and the dealer recommended the Hellwig Big Wig. It took maybe 1.5 hours to install. It is much easier with two people, my wife helped. It really stabilized the ride. I highly recommend this product, and if you have basic tools you can install it yourself.
Really helped the sway!
Why didn't I do this the day I bought my F250? Huge difference with stability and body roll!
I ordered this sway bar because of the rather rough ride we were getting while towing our travel trailer. Not sure why Ford stopped putting these on heavy duty trucks, but this really made a difference.
etrailer service was great. Hellwig service was also great when I called them with questions. The Sway bar was straight forward to install and tool me 1.5 hours (no special tools needed). Video on how to install on YouTube much easier than printed instruction.
Installation was simple and easy, parts for exactly as they should except I had to cut some bolts on my air bags that were extending too long. That was not a problem of the anti-sway bar, just a modification I needed to make on my air bag bolt lengths. Otherwise it was a pretty easy install. I preassembled everything in about 15 minutes, laid the parts on either side of the rear end and it took about an hour to complete the install. Ride is fine on the stiffest level and it made a big difference in stability around corners and over rough terrain.
I purchased a Hellwig sway bar for my F350 and it arrived quickly. Hellwig could do a better job on trying to secure heavy steel parts inside of cardboard boxes that don't have a chance, but that's not on etrailer. I will be using etrailer for our needs.

What do you tow to where having the Hellwig was something you wanted, David? Glad to hear that shipping was quick!

Installation was easy. I can’t wait to see how it performs once I load my camper.
Very easy to install. It keeps the truck nice and flat in the turns, hardly any lean. I have it in the middle position and it doesn't make the ride much harsher than stock.
I think it’s going to work great with my slide in camper.
I purchased both the front and rear big wig for my 22 f350 tremor. I haul an 8k lb travel trailer and 3k lb truck camper. I noticed a huge different in the ability of the truck to recover from sway. It would still lean into corners and gutters but it would snap right back to level. I noticed an even bigger difference in my unloaded ride. The truck is so much more stable on the highway and can turn way better. Articulation took a hit but I was still able to go off road for a recent hunting trip.
Great product and excellent customer service as always

Thanks for sharing these great pics, Peter! It's nice to be able to get a good view of how these bars will look when installed.
Build quality was top notch, instructions were lack luster. Easy enough to follow, however, torque specs listed were for SAE sizing but the product shipped with metric hardware.
I have a Lance 650 truck camper sitting on a ford f250. The Helwig adjustable big wig rear anti sway bar 1-5/16 diameter makes all the difference when it comes. After a year of use I can say it’s a must.
Always excellent service at trailer.com !!

Thanks Michael, I'm happy we could help out!
Installed on my 2022 F250 Tremor. Removed almost all of the excessive sway while hauling my cab over. Installation instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Installed in my driveway with basic hand tools in about 1.5 hours. By myself.

Glad to hear that, Chris - thats awesome you tackled this yourself! Have you done a lot of installs?

Went on smooth on my 2024 F250 6.7HO. Now the ride is more stable. I installed Sumo springs in the front also. A big difference in stability now. Rides a little firmer but no sway.
Works fine. Broke off a bolt during installation of one of the lower brackets. The Ford factory lock nuts grip extremely tightly making installing the Hellwig bolts difficult.
The geometry could be better. Not in love with how low the bar hangs in the rear when the truck is not loaded. Maybe if I ever need to land the truck on an aircraft carrier it will come in handy.
I purchased the Big Wig sway bar set, front and rear (1-5/16" diameter) for my 2020 F350 after considering alternatives (Timbren, RAS). I am very happy with this new setup. Together the two anti-sway bars eliminated several handling issues I worked to resolve over two years of replacing worn components. My truck has over 205,000 miles and now handles better than new. The larger front sway bar from Hellwig and new bushings eliminated bump-steer and most of the slack in my steering. I previously replaced the end-links, all of the ball joints and tie-rod ends, shocks and steering stabilizer. Each made improvement tightening the steering but did not meet my expectations for improving control. The rear sway bar keeps the truck level with a load and has helps control the vehicle and trailer in cross winds. I have two large box trailers I tow, one is a 38' travel trailer, the other a 26' car hauler. I now have much more control and confidence when towing. Ford should ship any tucks that aren't a tremor or a raptor with a rear sway bar.
One word of caution: double, and triple check your Hellwig kit for fitment. I originally ordered the wrong kit based on a lack of detail between 4x4 and 2WD models. Kudos to etrailer, as they made it right after realizing the distinction wasn't easily found. If you have the correct kit, the rear sway bar sits level.

Wow, 205,000 miles and handling better than new. That is the kind of glow-up we love to hear about Greg! It sounds like you really dialed in your setup piece by piece, and it paid off in a big way. Pairing the Timbren and RAS with upgraded sway bars is a serious combination, especially for hauling trailers like yours. That added stability and confidence in crosswinds makes a big difference on long trips. We also appreciate you calling out the fitment note on the Hellwig kit. That is very helpful for others getting set up. Glad our team could help get you squared away there. So where are you off to for the next adventure?

Great to hear that on the new '25 Ford F-250 Super Duty, Jimmy! Also the feedback on instructions is nice to have. Good to know there are videos to help already out :) What are you towing to where you like having the sway bar installed?
