Question:

I have a Forest River trailer with a backup camera mount for Furrion backup camera. I just purchased a Furrion Observation/Backup camera system from e-trailer. I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500, that has a 115V plug and no DC cigarette plug. I want to know if I buy a AC/DC Cigarette plug Adapter can I plug it into my 115v A.C. and plug the Furrion monitor into the AC/DC plug without damaging the unit.

Yes you can use the AC to DC Adapter for Swift Hitch Wireless Camera System part # PP01 to get your 115 AC power down to the 12V power that you require for your Furrion monitor to work.

As an alternative and more permanent type of fix for this you can use the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps part # RM-9332 . This will allow you to have a 12V outlet to use whenever you need to and not have to worry about using an adapter. It gets wired to your battery and will give you 12V power with or without the key in the on position.
