If there's ever an issue with the signal on a Furrion camera system is almost always comes down to lack of power. Plugging in your # FOS43TASF to the monitor cable is giving you a direct 12 volts to the camera whereas when installed on the trailer the truck's 7-way isn't providing enough power to the running light circuit. If you have a newer truck with PWM wiring (like most 2020+ GM trucks) then your camera is getting pulsing power instead of a constant and can't form a connection to the monitor. There are two options to solve this though:

Option 1: By using the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR. This adapter will send a steady current to the camera allowing you to receive a signal to your monitor. The male end will plug into the 7-way on your truck and you'll plug your trailer into the female end of this adapter.

Option 2: By using the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR. This is a permanent fix that will just splice in-line right behind the camera and send a steady current to the camera to fixed the signal issues.

Of the two choices I personally recommend the # VGR64VR just because it's so easy to do and when it's done you don't have to do anything else. The # FR87PR would be one additional thing you'd have to do every time you want to tow your trailer and I've had a few people state that it caused an error to pop up on their dash monitor showing that the trailer wasn't connected because the adapter throws off how the truck senses the trailer.

@Christopher It's one or the other. The 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems item # VGR64VR will also work as well.
