Question:

I have lost the 12v power feed to my trailer plug in my 2023 Silverado 2500HD . The owner’s manual doesn’t seem to identify a specific fuse for that. All the lights and brakes are working fine and the ground is ok.

Hey David. What accessory are you trying to power with your 12v pin?

You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Reply to Jerred H.

Newer vehicle's, like your 2023 Silverado, have a power management system that doesn't supply the necessary power to run backup cameras and other accessories. If you're trying to power a backup camera, you'll need the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera item # FR87PR. This will plug directly into your 7-way and provide the constant voltage the backup camera/s require.

As I get further into this situation I have foung that the Auxiliary battery in my truck was dead. Odd for a 3 year old truck. With a new battery power has been restored to the trailer but the battery is not being charged, This truck has 2 alternators as well so the next dive will be a deep one. I've seen some forums that speak of software issues but need to do further research.

@JerredH The issue with the GMC truck is the alternator puts out a pulse width modulated voltage. The Furrion camera and a lot of other things will not work with the factory output. The adapter fixes that and the Furrion camera works with it. I use the Furrion as a rear-view camera on the trailer while driving. Much better than the GMC rear view camera which I found to be too wide angle. If you are referring to the trailer battery not charging, the 12v on the 7 pin connector is limited to about 10 amps. This is insufficient to charge the trailer battery. I have added a Redarc DC/Dc inverter connected with 4 GA wire to the AUX battery to provide up to 50 amps to the coach while driving. I have occasionally used the truck to charge the trailer batteries when in a campground without electric hookup. The wiring is through a 60 amp fuse in the engine compartment. The 4 GAa wires are run along the frame to a connector in the bed next to the 7 way. The Redarc inverter is installed in the coach near the battery. Another advantage of the DC/Dc inverter is that it raises the voltage to the 14.25V the lithium battery needs for charging and compensates for any voltage drop.

You are exactly correct. The furion monitor and camera will NOT link without it. And, etrailer has the best price I could find.

The Furrrion 7 way power adapter is exactly what I needed on my 2021 GMC 3500HD Denali to get my cameras working

Exactly correct, need the adapter 22 and up for the rv camera to work. Bought the furrion camera package, wouldn’t work. LED power to the through the system to operate the camera is what read on several forums. I bought the adapter through E Trailer, shipped it to my campsite in Arizona while on a trip. Shipped fast and fixed my Furrion RV camera issue.

Hi Jarred, the 7 way power plug does not work on Chevy pick up trucks. I bought a second one thinking the first one was faulty, but after trying everything ,no positive results
