Question:
I have a 2016 F350 crew cab 4x4 PU. I’m looking for what I believe to be Aries kit #3048324. I don’t see it on your web page but I assume you can get it. Can I get a price and get an answer about the step height? I’ve read the specs but what is not discussed is the distance from the door threshold to the fixed step. I currently have a running board that it 10.5” down from the threshold. That step is too high from the ground for my wife. If the Actiontrac is that same distance that would be good because it would down 8” more when activated but pictures show it tight to the bottom of the door. I called the company and the guy who I talked to had no clue what I was asking. Can you tell me the installed distance from the threshold to the top step?

The Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with Custom Installation Kit part # AA3048324 is the correct fit for the 2016 Ford F-350 crew cab. The price is listed on the product page if you click on the part number link above. When the step is not activated the canister it stays in is tight with the bottom of the door unlike your step that is 10.5" down from the door frame. Once deployed the Aries ActionTrac is 8" from the top step. The deployed step comes down from the inside of the top step. The top step is about 2" deep so you are looking at 10" from the door frame to the deployed step tread. I have attached a video for your reference.
That is going to be the lowest running board we have available at this time. I know this is not what you want to hear but maybe you could use a folding step stool and keep it in the truck like part # SASS-07C-BLK to assist your wife in stepping up to the running board.
