To install, use the brass inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Hand-tighten the included hardware against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. Then install the shower head onto your shower supply line. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Empire Faucets brass RV shower valve with the shower head assembly in the chrome finish. Now, this shower valve and shower head assembly will let you upgrade the bathroom valve and head assembly in your RV, camper, or your mobile home. Want to zoom in and talk about the shower head. It is a single function on off shower.
It is an all chrome plastic construction. And the head will easily twist off for cleaning. Does have a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute maximum. The handle on this is a nice dual handle design. Has the crystal style knob style handles.
Does use a 3/4 turn cartridge stem, which enables the faucet to turn on and off. You can see, turn them on, turn them off. And this is a all brass construction, which is corrosion resistant. Just wanted to show you that. We're gonna take these mounting nuts off.
And we'll take the gasket off, and we slide the gasket off, you'll be able to see that it's an all brass construction. Does have a chrome plastic deck plate and gasket. So again, when you go to install it, you can put your gasket down over that, and then you use your mounting nuts to tighten it up to your wall. Now, these parts, you can see, are a nice chrome finish. This is a wall-mount three-hole installation, you can see.
And as we mentioned, the deck plate and threaded mounting nuts are all included. Now, when you do install, this does require tile and tub caulk for sealing. That is not included. You would have to supply that. These parts are ADA compliant. Give you a few specs on this. Now, the distance between the shanks here, the hot and cold shanks center to center, if we put a ruler on that, that is right at eight inches. The inlet shank diameters on both of those is a half an inch. Now, the distance when this is mounted onto the wall, so the valve handles when they're mounted. So, the wall will be right here. If we measure the distance from the wall to how far it sticks out to the edge of the handle is gonna be right at 3 1/4 inches. And on the shower head when this is installed, so your wall will be here, and how far that sticks out would be measured to here. So, if we put a ruler on that, you can see it's gonna be right at 6 1/4 inches for the distance. But that should do it for the review on the Empire Faucets brass RV shower valve with the shower head assembly in the chrome finish..

The one replaced was offset by a 1/4 inch. easy enough as the cover plate was the same size and it looks nice. Would use etrailer.com again for sure.
