Question:

Can you please provide a list of parts I'll need to get my 2020 Ram Promaster ready to tow? It didn't come with a hitch or anything so I need the complete package from hitch to wiring to a controller that will let me activate electric brakes on a few different trailers we haul with this van.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # C13207 is the one I recommend for your 2020 Ram ProMaster 3500 (excluding EXT models). It doesn't require any drilling so installing it is super simple. It's rated to tow up to 6,000 lbs and 600 lbs tongue weight.

For a wiring kit that comes with everything you'll need to install a fully functional 7-way connector, the Tekonsha # 22112 is the way to go. You'll simply use the t-connectors to plug into the connection points behind your tail lights to power up your trailer lights. From there you will splice in the rest of the connections 12V power, electric brakes and reverse lights (if equipped).

Since you mentioned you'll be towing different trailers and it also sounds like you may not be the only driver, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is your best option. It's proportional which means it's going to apply the brakes on the trailer at the same time and with the same intensity, based on the deceleration of your ProMaster's brakes. The Tekonsha # 222112 kit includes a custom adapter that you'll use to connect the P3 to your vehicle, no hard wiring required.

If you don't already have a ball mount, I recommend the Buyers Products Adjustable Tri-Ball Hitch # 3371802225. It's going to be a very versatile ball mount that will allow you to tow pretty much any trailer application out there with the included 1-7/8, 2, and 2-5/16 inch balls.
