I need a tailgate for my 2008 ford f250 superduty and the cables for when the tailgate is down for extra support.

The Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with Open Design for Ford Trucks part # VG-97-100 is a fit for the 2008 Ford F-250 Super duty but does not include cables for extra support. It requires the use of the old cables.

I recommend to use the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock for Ford Trucks part # VG-97-4000 which has the cut out to make towing a fifth wheel/gooseneck trailer easier, it also comes with rotary latches and coated cables to attach the tailgate to the truck. The nice thing about this particular gate is it locks in the closed position. I have attached a video and a photo for your reference.
