Can I follow up on what is an acceptable amount of sag when a trailer is connected? Also, ask what makes you prefer the Super Spring over the Timbren Jounce style spring?

Suspension enhancement would be your best option since you mentioned having an aluminum frame trailer. That we've found there isn't an aluminum frame trailer manufacturer who will state that you can use weight distribution with their trailers. They just put a different kind of stress on the trailer frame.

So the best option I have would be the SuperSprings part # SSA22 which installs on the leaf spring you have now and gives you 2,200 lbs of additional suspension support.

There isn't an exact figure on how much sag is acceptable. It's best to look at the tow vehicle when it's connected to the trailer and if the rear is sitting lower than the front you have too much sag. Some vehicles have such a large rake to them (angled forward) that 2 inches is technically not terrible but in general shows you are probably near the capacity of the vehicle. Since there seemed to be a clearance issue possibly with the air springs fitting the SuperSprings is what I recommended as it would bypass any potential issues there since it attaches to the leaf springs. I also prefer the ride quality the SuperSprings give over the Timbrens as well.
