Comparing etrailer.com and Draw-Tite Hidden Class III Trailer Hitches for 2020 Toyota Sienna
Published 01/17/2020 >
Question:
Hi. I am trying to decide on a hitch for my 2020 Toyota Sienna. I like the hidden design so I've got things narrowed down to the etrailer e98853 and the draw-tite 76112, which from what i can tell have the look i'm going for. I would really appreciate if you could maybe expand on/compare those options a bit and maybe offer your expert recommendation. Just trying to be nudged one way or the other.....thank you!

You are correct that both the etrailer.com Class III Trailer Hitch # e98853 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 76112 feature the same hidden-crosstube design that allows only the 2" receiver to be seen on the vehicle. This is typically the style I recommend, especially on brand new vehicles like yours, as it just maintains that clean, from-the-factory appearance at the bumper.
As for comparing these two models, they are pretty much identical in most areas. Both will use the same mounting holes in the Sienna's frame rails for matching installation processes, have the same weight capacities of 3,500 pound towing and 525 pounds of tongue weight, and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
Between the two models I prefer the etrailer.com # e98853 though because of its unique matte black finish. This provides more of a rugged appearance and is more resistant to scratching compared to the shiny powder coat on the Draw-Tite.
I have attached a full installation video below that you can use for reference, along with a couple pictures of the hitch mounted so you can see exactly how it will look on your Sienna.
