How to Wire the Optronics Interior or Exterior Trailer Light with Switch # IL21CB

Question:

I have this light and Im planning on installing it in my stock trailer. It will obviously only be used at night when the trailer is hooked up to the truck to help my animals load up at night. Should i wire this to my running light wire or the 12v wire?

You can wire in the Optronics light # IL21CB to either the 12 volt circuit or the running light circuit. To wire it to the running light circuit, just tap into running light wire on the trailer. To turn the light on you would need to have the trailer connected and the running lights turned on in the vehicle.

If you wanted to wire it to the 12 volt circuit you would need to connect the wire to the 12 volt circuit from the 7-Way or on a trailer mounted battery if equipped. for either method, make sure the light is grounded to a bare metal surface.
