I lost the key to my rack - VW branded Thule cross bars - and have been having a really hard time figuring out what to get for a replacement key. All the Thule keys have a letter in front of the numbers..... core # 010

I have exactly what you're looking for; you can use the Replacement Key for Thule Racks # THKEYN010 to unlock your VW roof rack made by Thule with a lock core with the number 010 stamped on the core. You can really ignore the N that sometimes goes in front of the Thule lock core numbers and focus on the 3 numbers to determine which keys and lock cores will match your existing setup.

If you need to change out the lock cores, you can use the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450200 which comes with 2 new lock cores and keys.
